Their new Sci-Fi action RPG is set for an early 2014 launch date but the developer hasn’t decided what platforms the game will launch on. In Transistor, a young woman is nearly killed by a group of mysterious assailants wielding a powerful weapon. As she takes control of this weapon, she must fight from street to street against forces that will stop at nothing to get it back. Throughout the game, players will piece together the mysteries of the Transistor and pursue its former owners. Supergiant will have an early build of the game playable at PAX East in booth #892.

Transistor invites players to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as they explore a stunning futuristic city. We’re designing our next game to seamlessly integrate thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, complete with our studio’s signature melding of responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling.”

Supergiant Games is composed of the members from the Bastion development team including a handful of new and talented artists who have come onboard since Bastion’s launch.
