It all began when Chris’ father brought home the Commodore 64. When asked about the system, Chris always brings up the nasty loading times that took close to an hour to finish, the 5.75″ floppy disks, and the cassette tapes he’d use to play these games. He says that he’ll always have fond memories playing Bruce Lee and Raid on Bungeling Bay on it.

Chris would soon get the Nintendo Entertainment System on his birthday, along with a year’s subscription to Nintendo Power. He still remembers reading through the first issue with the Legend of Zelda walkthrough and map. This is, according to him, where his addiction to gaming began. Fortunately, Chris was lucky enough to have a cousin who gave him several games, so there was no shortage of titles to play.

As the consoles and games evolved, so did Chris. Newer and better games came out on bigger, faster systems. The Ratchet & Clank and Mass Effect series are just some of Chris’ favorite franchises of the current generation. Both have great lead characters, story, exposition, weapons and space travel. When asked about these two games he says, “What more could you want? Even with Mass Effect’s half-assed ending, its still one of the best story, action shooters on the market today.”
