Welcome to another exciting week at Gamer Horizon and another episode of On The Horizon! To our returning guests, we hope you enjoy the brand new design of our site that we launched today. To our new visitors, welcome! We hope you like the site and can’t wait to hear from you in the comments.

Tomb Raider - Hunting Season

Two huge games are coming out tomorrow (Tuesday, March 5th, 2013), and you can be sure we’ll be covering them! It’s worth mentioning that both of them are reboots of their respective franchises: Tomb Raider and SimCity.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on Tomb Raider, and Alex is the lucky one that gets to review it! While you’re waiting for his review, check out our previous coverage (in the related links below) and this trailer:

The other huge game to be released this week is SimCity for PC (there’s also a Mac version coming soon). Ari (writing about himself in 3rd person yet again) has been counting the days until March 5th, 2013 ever since the release date was announced. He’s going to be reviewing the game next week. If you’re still on the fence, you can look forward to the review and check out our previous coverage in the related links below. Here’s a conversation between Stone Librande, lead designer of the new SimCity, and Will Wright, the creator of the series, as well as the mastermind behind The Sims and Spore:

Chris has been playing Mass Effect 3: Citadel, the final piece of single player downloadable content for Mass Effect 3. He’ll have a review for that later in the week as well.

Also being released on March 5th, 2013 are Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Mirror of Fate for 3DS and MLB 13: The Show for PlayStation 3 and Vita.

Ted’s back with another weekly update about PlayStation Plus, so check it out to find out what this week’s new free games and discounts are. Also, we’ve got another episode of Season 2 of the Gamer Horizon Podcast, so check that out. It’s perfect for your commute or daily grind, and it’s entertaining and informative too.

That’s it for this week’s On The Horizon! Have fun, everyone!
