Saints Row IV Teaser Trailer is Live!
Deep Silver and Volition announces that Saints Row IV will be coming in August... now with more super powers! Check out the first trailer for the game!
Anyone who has enjoyed the Saints Row series knows all about its absurd, over the top, nothing-is-too-ridiculous gameplay. Well, Saints Row fans, rejoice because it looks like the dildo swinging, tank-free-fall-dog-fighting good times will keep on rolling in Saints Row IV… only this time, it looks like there will be more super powers! Courtesy of new Saints Row publisher, Deep Silver comes this awesome European announcement teaser trailer!
The official Deep Silver press release we received had this to say about the next iteration of the Saints Row franchise:
In the next open-world installment of Saints Row, Deep Silver Volition continues the story of the Third Street Saints by elevating their status to the highest level – the leaders of the free world. In Saints Row IV, the head honcho of the Saints has been elected to the Presidency of the United States. But the Saints are just getting started. Now the larger-than-life insanity of the Saints series gets a new twist with a catastrophic alien invasion, and the aliens have transported the Saints to a bizarro-Steelport simulation. Wield gargantuan superpowers and fight to free humanity from alien granddaddy Zinyak’s mental grasp. Escape the simulation that’s trapped the Saints crew, or die trying.
Saints Row IV lets players delve into an arsenal of alien weaponry and technology that will turn each Saint into an ultimate entity of destruction. Utilize out-of-this-world superpowers to fight all the way to the top. With intensified action and enhanced customization, players can use their newfound superpowers and leap over buildings, outrun the fastest sports cars, or send enemies flying with telekinesis in the greatest, most insane installment of Saints Row yet.
Save the world, Saints Style.
It’s long been known that there was going to be Saints Row the Third DLC called Enter the Dominatrix and that Volition and then publisher, THQ cancelled the stand alone and merged it into a full-fledged sequel. While it does look like the game won’t be taking giant strides in terms of the game engine and overall gameplay, it does look like it’s more of the same, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Saints Row IV releases on August 20, 2013 in North American followed by a August 23, 2013 everywhere else.
