The Top 5: Video game villains

This week, we list The Top 5: video game villains!

What's up Horizoneers (sorry?)! It's Thursday, which means it's time for another edition of The Top 5! Ted is sitting out this week's edition of The Top 5 since he's been bedridden and sick, but that hasn't stopped the rest of the crew from answering the call! This week, we decided to talk about the characters in video games whose actions set off events in the game they're in and make our in-game avatar jump through hoops and give them cause to rise up and save the day. Or are just a general pain in the A. That's right, it's The Top 5: Video game villains! Alex - 5. Dr. Wily - I’m adding Dr. Wily here as a way to honor his insane genius. We haven’t had a good Mega Man game in a while, which is for shame, and Capcom doesn’t seem like they’re interested in retreading this series for a while, but Dr. Wily will forever go down in gaming history as one of the more persistent, if not clever, bad guys to ever have blipped. You can’t tell me that using Bubble Man’s bubble blasts

In the interest of spoiler warnings the games we discuss here are Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Final Fantasy VII, Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic, Final Fantasy VI, Persona 4, Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Virtue’s Last Reward, 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, Metroid, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Bioshock, Portal, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Resident Evil. You've been warned. Now, let's do the twists (sorry - no I'm not):   Alex - 5. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - The Boss was loyal to her mission until the end. Probably one of the stunners that I’ve had playing any game was when it was revealed in the ending that The Boss was really acting under t

The Top 5: Wow moments in gaming

This week the top 5 moments in our gaming lives experiences that made us say “wow.”

Hello folks! Remember those moments in gaming when you were just in awe or plain said "wow?" We do, so welcome to Gamer Horizon's The Top 5: Wow Moments in Gaming! We've got quite the list with tons of variety. Let's get to those lists! Alex 5. Duke Nukem Forever is finally released - Can you believe that this game finally came out after a little over a decade of declaring the game to be vaporware? And it’s been finished by Gearbox Software, no less? 4. The release of the GameCube in Japan - This might come as a surprise to many people seeing as how I’m generally the most critical of Nintendo in the bunch, but I saw a lot of promise coming from the GameCube when it was released in Japan. The system had Luigi’s Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Pikmin all within the launch window and these imaginative games really showed that the system, despite being underpowered, can deliver some really engaging experiences. I should also point out that the GameCube was ATI’s first fora
