There is, at the very least, two people in the Gamer Horizon crew who would be ridiculously elated at the notion that a brand new Breath of Fire game is coming out. But at least one of them, I would surmise, would be terrified… nay, flummoxed… at the idea of a new Breath of Fire game coming out on platforms that it wasn’t even popular on to begin with.
Well folks, that day has come. Capcom Japan announced that a brand new Breath of Fire game, titled Breath of Fire 6, is coming…
… to PCs, tablets, and mobile phones.
The game is reported to have an online mode, but no word on whether or not it’ll be cross-playable across PCs, tablets, or mobile phones. Breath of Fire 6 is scheduled for a 2014 launch in Japan, and I have absolutely no idea what the bottom captions say because I don’t read Japanese. Hurray journalism! If you can, here’s the site that broke the announcement. But, like I said, it’s in Japanese.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
Okay, I’m not actually as “terrified” or “flummoxed” as you might expect. Fortunately for me (and despite the fact that I played all 5 Breath of Fire games on consoles), PC has become my primary platform, and I have no problem with the series making its home there. To be honest, I didn’t expect there to ever be a Breath of Fire 6. I’m glad there will be! The question is, will it be translated into English?

Okay, I thought about it a bit more and I am now terrified and flummoxed.
