On The Horizon: Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock Infinite - ElizabethHere’s what’s On The Horizon for this week:

Bioshock Infinite is finally here! Releasing on Tuesday, March 26th on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Bioshock Infinite is the long awaited sequel to Bioshock. Unlike Bioshock 2, which was developed by 2K Marin, Bioshock Infinite was developed primarily by Irrational Games, the same developer as that of the original Bioshock. For fans that felt like Bioshock 2 was a bit of a disappointment after the creative, beautiful and ambitious Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite could prove to be the true sequel they have been waiting for. It features a brand new setting, a city called Columbia that is held in the air by balloons and blimps, and a new grappling hook that allows the main character to travel from building to building zip-line style. For more about Bioshock Infinite, check out Ted’s article comparing the setting of the original Bioshock to the new game and this video detailing the creation of Elizabeth, the main character’s companion.

Also releasing on Tuesday, March 26th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, which is the third game in the Army of Two franchise and centers around two unnamed characters, Alpha and Bravo. Then there’s Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin, the 5th expansion for the long running MMORPG, which will be available on PC and Xbox 360. It features two new jobs (classes), the Geomancer and Rune Fencer. Last but not least, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is also releasing on Tuesday for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

This week on Gamer Horizon you can look forward to an editorial by Sean on the subject of Square-Enix, everybody’s favorite JRPG western game developer! Wait… what? That should be an interesting read! Chris is putting a lot of hours into Gears of War: Judgment, and we’re all looking forward to his review. And as always, Ted will have his weekly PlayStation Plus update! Look forward to that and all of the latest news this week on Gamer Horizon!
