Project X Zone Seeing Western Release

Project X Zone, the Sega/Namco/Capcom crossover title previously released in Japan on Nintendo 3DS, is going to be released in North America and Europe in the summer of 2013. This outcome is somewhat improbable because the spiritual prequel, Namco X Capcom, for the PlayStation 2, never saw the light of day outside of Japan. Early details are scarce, but the game will have full Japanese voice acting, with English subtitles.

Developed by Monolith Soft, Project X Zone stars characters from various franchises of the three companies. The story seems to revolve around the theft of a stone which grants the ability to bend space and time, thus merging the three realms together. This tactical crossover RPG features a unique Crossover Active Battle System, which allows characters to pair together, as well as proximity based attacks that add an element of strategy to the game.
