Dungeons and Dragons Tower of Doom and Dungeons and Dragons Shadow over Mystara, two classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups with a little RPG flair, are finally coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Finally is an important word here, as both arcade and Capcom fans have been clamoring for the release of these titles for years. There has not been a home release of either game since 1999 on the Sega Saturn.
This release was likely one of the two games Capcom was going to announce at PAX East, unless this release counts as two games. I predict that the release of this package will be similar to Final Fight Double Impact: Expect a price of $15, with both games up-sampled for HD, various challenges to complete while playing the games, and online multiplayer support using the GGPO middleware.
I never got to play these games in depth when I was a youngster, but the short times I did have with them provide only fond memories. I cannot wait for the release of this package, and neither can the rest of the Gamer Horizon staff. I mean, at least Alex.
