Today, Capcom and Valve announced a cross promotion. Simply put, characters from Left 4 Dead 2 will be showing up in the PC release of Resident Evil 6, and Resident Evil 6’s monsters will be appearing in Left 4 Dead 2. This exclusive content will be free to owners of these games.
Resident Evil 6 will add Coach, Ellis, Nick, and Rochelle, and also add The Witch and the Mini-Tank to its roster of baddies, all exclusive to the “No Mercy” mode, which is also exclusive to PC.
This spring, Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman, creatures from Resident Evil 6, will join the special Infected of Left 4 Dead 2. All of this content will be exclusive to PC, with no plans to release any of this on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
Currently, Resident Evil 6 is available for pre-order on Steam. The game is using Valve’s pre-order system where the more pre-orders the game receives, the more rewards are unlocked. All rewards are unlocked for this game, which means that pre-orderers will get the DLC Season Pass at no addtional charge.
