Shin Megami Tensei IV Gameplay Trailer – The Samurai Way

Shin Megami Tensei IV - Lham Dearg Recruited!

If you’re looking forward to Shin Megami Tensei IV as much as I am, you’re going to want to check out this brand new gameplay trailer titled “The Samurai Way” that Atlus has just released. It shows some battle scenes, demon fusion, exploration and more. My favorite part of the trailer was when it showed a conversation with a demon. This time around the game shows a detailed full screen portrait of the demon while you are conversing with it. Looks awesome! Check out the trailer below:

Well, I’m officially hyped! Then again, I’ve been waiting for this sequel for nearly a decade, so “hyped” might be an understatement. Here’s what Atlus has to say about Shin Megami Tensei IV:

Defend the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado – It’s the Samurai Way

The role of the samurai is to protect the people of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado from the demons. To do this will require excellence in combat, which is showcased in the latest trailer for Shin Megami Tensei IV. But bear in mind that it’s not just combat prowess that counts – it takes a sharp mind to deal with demons and get them to fight on your side.

Shin Megami Tensei IV - Pre-order Content

Shin Megami Tensei IV is scheduled for release this summer and exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS at an MSRP of $49.99, making it a “premium” 3DS title. At that price, it promises to be an experience equal to that of its console predecessors. If the game itself doesn’t seem like a good enough value to you, the pre-order bonuses might win you over. Those that pre-order the game will be guaranteed a collectible box set that includes a 176 page strategy guide and art book, an audio CD with the game’s soundtrack, and a collectible slipcase.

Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to Shin Megami Tensei IV. I’ll have a full review of the game here on Gamer Horizon once it is released. Are you looking forward to this one as much as I am?
