At San Diego Comic Con, Joey Ansah and Christian Howard announced they will be making a Street Fighter web video series titled Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist. The web series will be written and directed by Joey Ansah while Christian Howard co-writes the show. The story follows video game series protagonist Ken (Christian Howard) and Ryu (Mike Moh) as they delve into master Gouken’s past. Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist will be shot in Bulgaria and is slated for a 2014 release date.
The story of Ken and Ryu is something that has interested me for some time as the Street Fighter games never went into details of who the characters are. I remember watching the animated Street Fighter movie and thinking how good that was. There was also the Hollywood bastardization of Street Fighter with Raul Julia that went nowhere and was terrible. There was also the Street Fighter: Alpha anime movie, but I made a conscious effort not to watch that one. Raul Julia is a great actor by the way, but I digress, take a look at the video and see if it appeals to you. I can’t wait to see this and judge for myself if it stands up or not.
The guy on the right totally looks like Ken
