For those who don’t know anything about Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (like myself), the game is a dungeon crawling RPG known for its chart making mechanic. The game requires players to create and maintaining their own maps as they move through the world. This includes mapping out each dungeon the player explores. Developed by Atlus, the game offers duel story modes. The expanded story mode takes players on an adventure to discover the origins of the Yggdrasil Tree while classic mode adds new dungeon layouts and challenges to the original Etrian Odyssey. The game’s story mode offers five pre-made characters to explore the world of Etria with. Each character has their own personality and dialogue with voice acting which play out in animated cut scenes. Etrian Odyssey Untold offers players different difficulty modes including picnic and standard modes for beginners and expert for adventurers who want a challenge. This dungeon crawling RPG can even be played in first person mode while crawling through dungeons.
Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will be released exclusively for the 3DS in North America on October 1st while the Japanese version was released on June 27th. The game will retail for $39.99 and launch simultaneously in retail stores and on the Nintendo eShop.
