You don’t need a PS Plus subscription to record and stream PS4 games

Yesterday, Microsoft announced that you needed to be a Xbox Live Gold member in order to take advantage of their Xbox Game DVR service. The company received mixed reactions with this announcement, and then the spotlight turned to Sony to see if they would comment on their competition’s decision.

Not surprisingly, many Twitter users took to Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida to ask this question. This is what he had to say:

 

 

 

Well, there you have it folks. A definitive answer by the Shu-man himself: No PS Plus subscription required for recording and streaming. The question is, does this make your decision to get either the Xbox One or the PS4 easier? Sound off in the comments below.
