Happy long weekend, everybody! Labor Day weekend is here, and it’s so surreal. I swear it was only June yesterday, but here we are in the thick of the video game release onslaught of the Fall, after the movie industry’s summer movie spectacle. We’re hoping you all are enjoying and finding the new website’s design pretty useful, as we’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and we’ve got quite a bit of improvements that we’re planning on doing in the next few weeks. Be sure to look for that!
Anyways, without any further ado, here’s what the crew’s gonna be up to this weekend!

Sean
For me this weekend is packed to the limit. Finishing up my Splinter Cell review, finally playing Payday 2, going to a burlesque show in Santa Ana, and hopefully seeing The World’s End.

Ari
This weekend I’ll be spending some time away from my computer monitor if at all possible… oh, who am I kidding, I’ll be playing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn!

Chris
I’ll be playing through Saints Row IV and possibly going to the movies if something catches my eye.

Ted
I’m squeezing out the last moments of Assassin’s Creed III. I’ve done all the side missions and now I just have to complete the story. Hey, just in time for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag!

Alex
Oh boy, do I have my work cut out for me. Other than working on the improvements on the Gamer Horizon website, I have to finish Diablo III and write a review by Monday, finish up my review of Disney Infinity and play more play sets this weekend, finish off Saints Row IV, and think about writing my Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time review… but I have a feeling that the people who were interested in getting that game already got it. But before all that even happens, tonight I’ll be seeing The Grandmaster with Chris and Gamer Horizon buddy Christian. I’ve always admired Yuen Woo Ping as a fight choreographer (he did Kill Bill, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and The Matrix trilogy) and the combination of Wong Kar Wai, Tony Leung, and Yuen Woo Ping is too good to pass up, despite what Rotten Tomatoes might lead you to believe. Can’t wait!
That about does it for this week’s What’s Up Weekend! Let us know how you’re planning to spend your Labor Day weekend in the comments below and we’ll see you on Tuesday!
Skullgirls, Dragon Fantasy, Resident Evil 6, and Ni Nu Kuni, for me…
