Following the success and subsequent server issues of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Square Enix was forced to suspend digital sales of the game. But now that those issues are (mostly) behind us, the time has come for digital sales to be resumed.
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 17, 2013) – Square Enix Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, announced today that digital download sales have now resumed for FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ on Windows PC, and PlayStation®3 digital download sales are set to resume today.
Due to unprecedented demand at launch, digital download sales of the game were suspended on August 28, 2013. The company has performed extensive maintenance on the game servers, increasing the number of servers available, as well as increasing the maximum limit of users that are able to play at the same time per World.
Square Enix would like to thank all the existing players and welcome those that have been waiting patiently to join the adventure.
