Fan translations and wishes of the game coming to Vita aside, the latest Final Fantasy Type-0 HD trailer shows that the game isn’t just going to be a straight port. Apart from including a demo for Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will feature brand new shaders, high resolution textures, and increased resolution. You know, stuff you should expect from games with the letters HD after it.

Kidding aside, this is a game that I’ve been waiting for ever since it got released on the PSP and I’m glad that it’s getting the HD treatment it deserves. Sure, I won’t be able to play it on the go, but it’s high time that we get a Final Fantasy that’s not a MMO, has Lightning in it, or some sort of remake of an older Final Fantasy. Finally. Pun intended.
