Welcome to another weekly edition of On The Horizon! The biggest titles coming out this week are Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus and Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is the PlayStation Vita version of the “faster, bloodier action packed ninja adventure.” It features a new control scheme that makes use of the system’s front and rear touch pads and six-axis motion controls. If that sounds good to you, you won’t have to wait long to play it! Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is being released on Tuesday, February 26th, 2013.
Not into action games? No problem! The dungeon crawling RPG series Etrian Odyssey is back! For the 3DS, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is also being released on Tuesday. This might be the perfect game for all you role players out there! It features immersive 3D dungeons, customizable skyships, and even has a Beginner Mode for those new to the genre. Best of all, every launch copy of the game includes an art collection and audio CD, courtesy of our friends at Atlus, so pick one up while supplies last!
Here on Gamer Horizon, Anthony has taken one for the team and has reviewed Aliens: Colonial Marines. It appears not even a dose of Dramamine could help our poor reviewer get through the nauseating experience! Could this be our lowest review score ever? Spoiler alert: Yes.
Chris has been slicing and dicing his way through Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. His review will be on the site this week as well!
Ari (who enjoys writing about himself in 3rd person) seems to be in the mood for turn based strategy games, and has moved directly from Fire Emblem: Awakening to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. He’s putting together an article about the genre, and how the very nature of its most punishing mechanics makes it so much fun.
