Capcom has officially announced that there will be a June 25 launch for Lost Planet 3 in North America and a June 28 launch across Europe. The game will release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC. You play as Jim Peyton, a Utility Rig pilot who leaves his home on Earth to support his family. He begins working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC), who are preparing the Ice world E.D.N. III for human colonization. As a surveyor, Jim joins with his flow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins exploring the uncharted terrain and gathering samples of E.D.N. III’s energy supply, Thermal Energy. There’s only one problem, the planet’s indigenous alien species, the Akrid stand in your way. Fight this dangerous enemy on foot, but be careful; you’ll need the extra muscle because some of the Akrid are larger than your Utility Rig.
