Sony Teases PlayStation 4 Style

Sony Computer Entertainment released a new video teasing consumers and media with images of their new PlayStation 4 console. This would be great if the video actually showed what the console looked like and didn’t contain blurry images. The video is just a tease of what’s to come at E3 on June 10th. Along with the image of a blurry console, Sony shows off close up portions of the PlayStation 4, the Dualshock 4 controller and the PlayStation Eye that will have consumers intrigued and wanting more. The tease does a good job of bringing some attention back to Sony and its upcoming PlayStation 4 console ahead of Microsoft’s impending press conference.

I can’t help but to wonder if Sony released this new teaser trailer today in response to the fake PlayStation 4 video that surfaced last week or if they are attempting to steal some of Microsoft’s thunder. Microsoft is hosting a press event at the Microsoft campus to officially announce the next Xbox on Tuesday May 21st. It’s not known if Microsoft will show off what the console looks like, however. Sony had their PlayStation 4 press conference back in February that showed off the games and the controller. Microsoft should follow suit tomorrow, so the ball is in their court. Unfortunately Sony just dunked on Microsoft the day before their press conference which may have everyone focused on what the PlayStation 4 looks like instead of patiently waiting for tomorrow.

Good going Sony, now I’m just as intrigued as everyone else as to what the new console will look like. After watching the video, I watched it again and again to get a better look at the close up parts of the system. I liked the sharp edges and shiny exterior of what was shown and can’t wait to see more. I’m also intrigued of what Microsoft will present and am hoping they will show what the console looks like and 1-up Sony.

Gamer Horizon will be covering Microsoft’s press conference tomorrow, and we hope you will join us in the conversation about what is revealed.
