Square Enix and Airtight Games just released their E3 demo walkthrough of Murdered: Soul Suspect, and we’ve got it here for you to check out. In the game, players will take on the role of murdered detective Ronan O’Connor as he attempts to find his killer and solve his own murder in the afterlife. The video shows Ronan as he is thrown out a fourth story window, falling to the ground where he is then shot seven times before passing onto the afterlife. After passing over to the other side, Ronan realizes that he cannot make contact with the living or touch physical objects. He can, however, possess people and look through their eyes but not control them. Ronan has a limited ability to interact with objects using a poltergeist like ability to solve puzzles. In order to solve his murder, Ronan will have to carefully examine clues and listen to what people have to say.
In Murdered: Soul Suspect, Ronan will come across several spirits like himself who are searching for something or have been murdered. He can choose to take on these side quests and help these individuals find what they are look for, solve their murders, or go on his way. Ronan will also encounter different types of demons who are out to devour his soul. He can defeat these demons by sneaking up behind then and tearing them apart from the inside or sneak by them in order to continue his investigation.
Watching the video again brings back memories of E3. I’m glad that E3 is over so I can watch this great looking video in the comfort of my room and not some uncomfortable booth. I still can’t get over how amazing the visuals look in this game and it’s unfortunate that we have to wait until early 2014 for the game to release.
