Ed Boon, creative director at Netherrealm Studios, announced that the 5th DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us would be revealed before the Injustice finals at EVO2K13. Well, true to his word, Martian Manhunter was announced as the next DLC character.

While it’s always kind of difficult to determine how a character plays from these trailers, it seems like Martian Manhunter will be a keep-away, zoning character. These classes of characters seem to be the dominant force in Injustice so far. That being said, every DLC character has come alongside a balance patch; so this could change at any time. That being said, I am really digging that super animation, and I’m pretty sure the same voice actor from Justice League is being used here.

The DLC Season Pass only covers the first four DLC characters released for Injustice and will not cover Martian Manhunter. It’s not yet known if there will be a second DLC season pass released, which will cover Martian Manhunter and the three other upcoming characters. Also, if you paid attention, you’ll note that Green Lantern has a new costume, wherein John Stewart will be wearing the green ring.

It’s expected that Martian Manhunter will be $4.99. Release date is unknown at this time.
