Square Enix and Airtight Games showed off a new trailer for Murdered: Soul Suspect which is turning out to be one of the best looking games for this console generation at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The trailer titled “The Witness” shows off new story elements and clues for sharp eyed viewers to pick up on. The trailer is also the latest in an episodic series of trailers Square Enix will be releasing that offers additional insight into Salem’s Dusk. The Dusk is the after life where Detective Ronan finds himself.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is Square Enix’s upcoming supernatural detective thriller which has Detective Ronan O’Connor solving the most difficult murder he has ever dealt with; unfortunately that murder also happens to be his own and only he can solve it. This investigation won’t be easy as Detective O’Connor must piece together clues, find the witness to his death, and protect her from the person that killed him without the ability to make contact with any living person. Murdered: Soul Suspect releases early 2014 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

It’s unfortunate we all have to wait until early next year to play this game. After watching The Witness trailer over and over, I think I might need to go back and watch all the previous trailers to see if there was anything in those that I missed.
