Good morning everyone! Welcome to another episode of On The Horizon! Things have been busy at my real job recently, but I’m taking the time today to come back, say, “Hello!” and talk about the games coming out this week. And maybe… just maybe… you’ll even get to see my Saints Row IV review, which is probably the most delayed review in our site’s history. That said, without any further ado, let’s check out the games, shall we?
This week, we’ll be seeing Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl. Essentially a reimagining of the first Etrian Odyssey, Etrian Odyssey Untold offers an expanded story mode that delves deeper into the mythology of the Yggdrasil Tree and an enhanced version of the original RPG. Of course, since it’s a 3DS title, it’s also in 3D as well! We just published our review, so check it out when you get a chance. In the meantime, here’s the latest trailer!
Ready for some b-ball action? NBA 2K14 is coming out this week. I consider the NBA 2K series as the pinnacle of basketball video games and if you’ve been holding off on getting one this season… which shouldn’t be difficult, given that there’s not much competition… this year’s NBA 2K14 is well worth the purchase price. If you need convincing, here’s a trailer for you to check out.
If you didn’t pick this game up digitally on your Wii U, you can purchase The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD in its disc version this Friday. Featuring updated graphics, you now have a second chance to experience this classic Zelda title without all the hub bub about its art style, which is now regarded by many as some of the best in series history. Take a look!
Another game coming out this week is… Girl Fashion Shoot. I’m not really sure what this is about, but from what I can tell there will be girls, and there will be shoots. Here’s the trailer.
The entire crew here’s getting ready to cover IndieCade this weekend, so much of the time we’ll be spending this week will be in preparation for that. We’re going to see something from Sean about his time with Grand Theft Auto V, which he’s reviewing, and we’ll be seeing Ted’s Roundhouse Roundup and PlayStation Update this week. As mentioned earlier, Ari’s Etrian Odyssey review is already published, and I’ll finish my Saints Row IV review by Friday. Maybe. Ok, I’ll make sure to make my deadline, I promise.
Hope you have a great rest of the week and we’ll see you on the website!
