After several leaks, which recently included a preorder listing for The Last of Us Remastered for the PS4, Sony’s PR team finally confirmed the existence of the game and will be releasing details soon.

However, Amazon’s listing of the game reveals much of what Sony might be revealing, err, soon. Here’s what we gathered from the listing:

• Higher resolution character models
• Improved shadows and lighting
• Several other gameplay improvements
• Includes: Abandoned Territories Map Pack
• Includes: Reclaimed Territories Map Pack
• Includes: The Last of Us: Left Behind single-player campaign
• $59.99

While I mentioned in prior podcasts that I’m averse to replaying The Last of Us again, this rerelease is too good to pass up. We all know of Sean’s opinion of the single player DLC, but this is a game whose multiplayer was something that he enjoyed. Either way, I’ll be picking up the game again and I’m excited to see what kinds of improvements they’ve made with the game.
