Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.3 Released – Defenders of Eorzea

If you’ve seen my stream on Twitch and heard my many rantings on both Social Link and Backlog BBQ podcasts, it won’t come as a surprise to know that I’m hooked on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. So, naturally, now that the newest patch is out – entitled Defenders of Eorzea – it’s gotten me quite excited.

The patch not only includes an extension to the game’s main storyline, but also adds some more end game and mid-game content as well. Here’s a short list of features that the patch adds to the game:

  • Primal Fight Hard/Extreme Mode: Ramuh
  • Outdoor-Dungeon: Hullbreaker Isle
  • Dungeon Hard Mode: Stone Vigil!
  • Dungeon Hard Mode: Tam-Tara Deepcroft
  • Skill Item: Desynthesis
  • Daily Hunt
  • Frontline: Three-faction PvP
  • Continuation of the Crystal Tower
  • New Main Story and Side Quests
  • Chocobo Raising
  • Housing (Private Chambers)

While that’s all fine, if you’re a fan and a player of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, you’re probably wanting to check out the nitty gritty and get all the dirty and sleazy details that this patch has. If you are, follow this link and you’ll find every single tiny bit of information regarding this game, from what issues they’ve fixed, to every single item they’ve added to the game and more.

I’ll be streaming the game tomorrow evening at 10:00pm PDT to 12:00am PDT, so if you’re either curious about the game or want to see any new features – provided I get around to doing them – hop onto my Twitch channel at http://twitch.tv/backlogbattle_alex and say hi!
