After a one year hiatus, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that their popular “epic community gathering,” BlizzCon, will be back this year. As usual, the convention will feature the latest Blizzard games with hands-on demonstrations, discussion panels and some exciting eSports action. There will be tournaments, both competitive and casual, contests with prizes, and of course, some mysterious goodies based on Blizzard’s games that are sure to be a hot commodity and the envy of all who cannot attend. Will it be another Baby Murloc pet for World of Warcraft? A StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Kerrigan plushie, perhaps?
BlizzCon is often the source of exciting news for Blizzard projects. It’s possible we’ll hear about new World of Warcraft and/or Diablo III expansions, or even details about the MMO code-named “Titan” that they are working on. Keep an eye on Gamer Horizon during BlizzCon for the latest news.
Ticket availability and pricing will be announced at a later date. As the last BlizzCon in 2011 sold out in seconds, those interested in attending this year should keep at eye on BlizzCon.com for the latest details as they become available.
BlizzCon 2013 is scheduled for November 8th and 9th and will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center.
