Square-Enix’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution is free this Tuesday for PlayStation Plus. Before this game came out, people were wondering, especially after the relative failure of Deus Ex: Invisible War, if this title was worthy of the mantle of Deus Ex. The answer was a resounding yes. I love Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and if you haven’t had a chance to play this game yet, you need to.
PlayStation Plus is also offering the requisite slate of discounts. Anime fishing game Let’s Fish! Hooked On for Vita is 50% off. Portal 2 and its Move-exclusive DLC, Portal 2 In Motion are 40% off, and new racer GRID 2 is 10% off.
Sleeping Dogs will be leaving PlayStation Plus tomorrow to make room for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, so grab that blockbuster of a title if you haven’t yet.
This is normally where the news ends in my weekly PlayStation Plus articles, but it is the beginning of a new month, so we know the other four titles coming in June. In no particular order, they are:
- Saints Row: The Third
- Machinarium
- Orc Attack
- Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward
I especially recommend Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. I bought that for full price on day 1, and do not regret it one iota. This is actually looking like a really good month already, and that’s before the other, very important bit of news that I am about to bring you.
As you might be aware, there are three titles in the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection for PlayStation 3 that have been around for an entire year, having never been rotated out. All three are Sony-published titles: Infamous 2, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, and LittleBigPlanet 2. Having those games be around for an extended period of time has been useful in case Sony needed to make marketing materials for Plus; they could rely on those games being there.
On June 11th, those games will be removed from the Instant Game Collection. You might realize that June 11th also is smack dab in the middle of E3. At this point, there are NO announced replacements for these three titles, but it is a very reasonable expectation that Sony is saving something for their E3 press conference on Monday, June 10th, at 6 PM Pacific Daylight Time. In plain English, Sony will be revealing three titles for PlayStation Plus next week. Stay tuned to Gamer Horizon, as we will bring you the latest PlayStation Plus as soon as we can.

This is fantastic news. The new slate of games is pretty awesome for this month and I can’t wait to see what they have planned next week. Perhaps we’ll finally get an Uncharted PS3 game in there?
