Media Molecule tears into November with Tearaway

Media Molecule, the developer of LittleBigPlanet and the soon to be released Tearaway has decided to push back the release date of Tearaway for the Vita to November.

“We are now in the final stages of development, and have come to the realization that we need a little more time than we anticipated to finish the game,” Media Molecule creative lead Rex Crowle wrote, “to tie all of the mechanics, story and amazing visuals together into the adventure that we want you to play. To give us that time, we’ve decided to move the release date by one month, from mid-October, to November 22.”

Rex Crowle also wrote, “We’re really, really sorry for the minor delay, we promise you hand on heart that the wait will be worthwhile! Thanks for being patient, please don’t be too cross with us, lots of love, Mm xxxx.”

It’s unfortunate that Tearaway is being pushed back one month, but if Media Molecule needs the extra time to make the game work properly and be fun to play, then it’s fine. Tearaway is one of the coolest looking games on the Vita and fans will be happy Media Molecule took the time to make the game right and not rush things.

In the meantime, check out this trailer for the game from this year’s E3.
